Our Company
Braden and Tara Sanderson took ownership of Central Colorado Kitchens back in 2025, continuing the legacy of a business that had served the community for over 30 years. With a shared love for homes, design, and the place they call home, they brought their own vision to the business and rebranded it as High Desert Designs.Â
Before taking ownership, Braden and Tara spent more than five years renovating and flipping homes along the Front Range. Braden brings a background in construction, while Tara brings a love for design and deep roots in Buena Vista. They combine their experience and passion to create spaces that are personal, functional, and built to last.

Braden and his wife Tara moved from Denver to Buena Vista to build a life centered around family, community, and the outdoors. With a background in construction management and hands-on experience flipping homes and renovating rental properties, Braden has always enjoyed the process of turning a vision into something tangible. He and Tara bring that same mindset to High Desert Designs, combining an appreciation for thoughtful design with a practical understanding of how homes are built and lived in.

When he’s not working on the business or real estate projects, Braden enjoys trail running, spending time with his family, and exploring the Colorado mountains.
Tara Sanderson

Tara is a former teacher who has always enjoyed design and the process of making a house feel like a home. After years of renovating and flipping homes, she developed an appreciation for the details that make a space feel personal and thoughtfully put together.
​
Alongside her husband, Braden, she enjoys raising their daughter, spending time with their two dogs, and exploring the Colorado mountains. She has come to appreciate the slower pace of mountain living in a town that has always been her home away from home.Â
Danielle Johnson

For the past 12 years, Danielle has dedicated much of her life to fighting human trafficking, serving survivors, and supporting individuals overcoming addiction. While freedom and restoration remain deeply important to her, design and renovation have always been another passion woven throughout her life.
​
Danielle and her family have spent years transforming homes. She has a natural eye for design and loves bringing together cabinetry, finishes, color, texture, and functionality to create spaces that are both beautiful and intentional.

To Danielle, great design is about more than aesthetics. It’s about creating a home that feels warm, welcoming, and uniquely yours while working for the way you actually live.
Sara Beaujon

With more than 15 years of experience in interior design, Sara creates spaces that are beautiful, functional, and uniquely personal. Her diverse portfolio spans luxury residential, boutique hospitality, and brewery taproom projects. With bachelor’s degrees in Geology and Interior Architecture & Design, she brings a thoughtful blend of creativity, technical knowledge, and attention to detail to every project.

Sara believes the best spaces reflect the people who live and gather in them. She enjoys getting to know her clients and bringing their vision to life through spaces that feel elevated, welcoming, and truly like home.

When she’s not working, Sara loves spending time outdoors with her husband and two kids, especially playing on the river. You’ll often find her snowboarding, mountain biking, river surfing, hiking, or enjoying all that this small Colorado mountain town has to offer.
